I think this video expresses 2 main point of The American Dream- America provides endless opportunity and American believes anything can be achieved through individual effort whoever rich or poor. At first, we can see the popper was very poor, he sold drugs to teenagers, and got into the jail, his house is very poor, and his wife is not happy with him. His social standing is very low. Then, like the lyric said, he made a chance, he become rich by some reasons which not show us in the music video. There is a scene I remember in the video, he and another black man were boss, and they were doing business with a white man, and the white man looked like a secretary. And in the popper house, white women were servants. However, on that time, most managements or bosses are white men and black people were not "promising", so the popper was a man who got American dream
