Two main character in the story is Dan Croteau and Ms.Woolner. Mr. Croteau is Roman Catholic who is selling cars at the Keene. He quit school when he was 16. Ms. Woolner is born in a rich family, and get high education. After they get married, they face a lot of problem such as etiquette, children education and even some hidden problem behind their career. However, they still live together happily.
When they chatted through their phone, they found a lot of common but when they met together, some huge gaps appear in front of them. Mr Croteau has to pretended not looks like a mam-monism who always looks forward wealth women. And Ms. Woolner thinks a lot about what's fair and works very hard to level things out. She also gives money to her husband to pay for debts in a way can not make him feel ashamed.
About relationship between them, because Ms. Woolner is much more wealth than Mr. Croteau, she has all kinds of choices he doesn't have and she does the most of the decision-making; thus, Ms. Woolner influence Mr. Croteau life-style and change his life.
Fortunately, the couple's families are very glad to see their children have found the couple, there is no any bias between them. Mr. Croteau said:" Well, don't hold that against her; she probably very nice anyway."
